山坛村位于龙涓镇驻地南偏东约5.2公里处，在高寨尾山西南坡，海拔820米。村名原作仙坛，1958年改为山坛。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子设立于明万历十六年（1588年）。明清时属龙涓里厚林乡，民国时属龙涓乡中山保。[1]

1952年归第九区。1961年属龙涓区仙景公社，山坛为其中的大队；1965年起称龙涓乡山坛大队；1984年4月起为村委会，1991年5月分出两个新村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄所在地势像坛，过去种过檀木，至今村中仍有几棵古檀树。[1]

村民以萧姓为主。管辖两个自然村，村委会在山坛。[1]
