美岭村位于龙涓镇驻地南面约2.6公里处，海拔590米，村部在两条小溪汇合之处。村址曾称山仔，又称秀溪，民国时称美洋，解放后改称美岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子设立于南宋绍兴十年（1140年）。李氏始祖从南安德教迁居此地，因四山环抱、双溪合流而取名，村中以此为景。[1][2]

民国时属龙涓乡美林保。1958年成为龙涓公社美岭大队，1961年经分拆后仍归该公社，1984年起称龙涓乡美岭村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中顶畲寨坪一带有古杉，高四十多米，胸围超过4米，材积9.4立方米，被称为「安溪杉王」，在福建省十大杉王中排第六。[2]

仙景美洋有楼台庙，始建于明天启年间（1621—1627年），庙中保存多件文物，门联据传为宋代朱熹手迹，堂中匾额为明代书法家张瑞图所题。[2]

村内还有仙峰岩，始建于明洪武六年（1373年）。[2]
