赤片村位于龙涓镇中部偏东，距乡政府约2公里。村内有大片、赤墘、榄坑、白西坑四个自然村，村名取大片、赤墘两村各一字而成。[1]

地理环境[edit]

四周群山环绕，村庄坐落在山间河谷的小盆地中，海拔约600至800米。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地属龙涓里仙景乡，民国时属龙涓乡中山保的大片、赤墘两个自然村。新中国成立后初属第九区一乡，1955年6月设赤片乡。[2]

此后经历龙涓区、龙涓公社的几次调整，村内设高级社与大队，1984年7月改为龙涓乡赤片村。[2]

人口[edit]

1993年全村610户、3140人。村中以李姓为主，旅外华侨及港澳台同胞有300多人。[2]
