玳堤村位于龙涓镇境内，古称玳瑅，后因“瑅”字罕用，改以“堤”字代替。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：玳，指玳瑁，甲壳可以加工成装饰品；瑅，是古书中一种佩玉。一部李姓族谱说此地乡中有石珠之形，水口有龟蛇之山，寓意为珠玉宝地，村名由此而来。[1]

明清时期此地属龙涓里的玳堤乡，民国时为玳瑅保。1951年设玳瑅区与玳瑅乡，区公所于1955年迁出，随后建立玳瑅村。1958年成为龙涓公社玳瑅大队。[1]

1984年，此地改设龙涓乡玳瑅村民委员会。[1]
