萍州村是安溪县大坪乡下辖的行政村，位于乡政府驻地西南约0.5公里处，海拔832米，地处厦门、泉州、漳州三市交界，是革命老区村。[1]

村名取自此地的谐音：村址位于高丘上的一片小平原，地势平坦开阔，因而得名萍州。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，本村隶属积德乡新康里，当时的名称为西洋与西甲。民国35年属新康乡萍洲保。1958年归西坪公社萍州大队；1965年随虎邱公社自西坪划出；1984年设萍州村民委员会；1987年大坪乡设立，设大坪乡萍州村委会。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

资深祖祠位于茂林，为县级文物保护单位，建于元代。[2][4]

村内现存雄狮瀑布群，此外还有茅草屋，在田地角落，海拔约900米，背靠称为落霞谷的山谷，山势陡峭。[1][3]
