珍地村位于安溪县湖上乡南部，在乡政府驻地以南约5.5公里处，地处五阆山北麓，村域平均海拔745米[1][3]。它是湖上乡于1987年6月设立后所辖的村子之一[3]。

地名由来[edit]

村子旧称「陈治」，因陈姓人聚居而得名。此后何姓人搬来定居，陈姓渐渐消失，现今村民全部姓何[1]。这里土地较少而显得珍贵，居民很早就掌握了煅烧石灰的技艺，靠它谋生，1949年起称珍地村[1]。

自然与产业[edit]

村域地势由南向北倾斜，大多是山地，面积约10平方千米[1]。境内蕴藏石灰石、煤和铁矿，村里另有石灰厂与矿石粉加工厂，耕作以茶叶为主，也有养殖与畜牧[2]。

人口[edit]

截至2024年1月，村中共有4100名户籍人口，分属1025户家庭[3]。博雅地名网另载全村约3450人，未注明年份[1]。

行政沿革[edit]

早年属修仁乡来苏里，民国时期隶属八社乡下的沙上保。新中国成立后，1952年并入湖珍乡；1958年湖头公社辖下设珍地大队，1984年起称湖头乡珍地村委会，1987年改属湖上乡[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，珍地村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」[1]。
