祥泉村位于安溪县长卿镇西南部，1994年4月设立，村民主要为张姓，收入以茶叶生产为主。村名古称上磜，“磜”是泉水瀑布的意思，方言里“上”“祥”音近，于是改称祥泉。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元末，张姓先人自棠棣分支迁入此地。明清时期此地属金田乡还二里的上磜保，民国21年（1932年）隶属长坑区，民国34年（1945年）属蓝进乡的双磜特编保。此后几经改隶，1984年7月改为乡、村体制时仍属原先的村，1994年4月自原属村分出，独立设为祥泉村。[3]

经济[edit]

农民收入主要来自茶叶生产，村集体经济较为薄弱。[2]
