地名由来[edit]
村古称大龙格，因大龙经过此格而得名。后人把其中的「龙」字改作「垅」，遂成今名，别称有龙格、岱格、垅格。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期属宝西保，解放初期属珠洋乡。人民公社时期隶属西坪公社的一个大队，后析出自立，1984年改为大垅格村委会。[2]

全村人口均姓王，辖8个村民小组，分格坵头、格坵尾、大垅厝、坑仔头、林脚五个自然村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，本村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
