西源村是西坪镇人民政府驻地所在的行政村，位于蓝溪西岸。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村居蓝溪西岸，地势从高处望去近似平原，故称西原。1970年，村从更早的一个村中析出，初名西原，后改为西源。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

历史上此地属积德乡崇信里的赊内乡。[1]

全村辖17个村民小组，分赊内、圩顶、安美三大自然村。村民外出谋生者不少，多去往厦门、泉州、广东等地。[2]

名胜[edit]

三安寨位于村中寨顶5号，为县级文物保护单位。[3]
