柏溪村位于大中昌山山下，与虎邱镇村庄接壤，距西坪镇政府约6千米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据传，村中溪流把村落分成东、西两部分，中间架设木桥，早称桥溪，后讹为石头溪。1962年分出设村，取原村名中的「柏」字与溪名中的「溪」字，定名柏溪，又称碧溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属新康里。新中国成立后的50年代归安溪县第七区，1956年撤区后并入高级农业社。1962年10月，原村分出两个村，本村即其一。[1]
