地名由来[edit]
旧时堪舆家以此地为宝地，认为能出朝卿、师侯一类人物，故称侯格。侯与后谐音，遂改称后格，又名侯格。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代此地分属崇信里的数个乡与保，清代改称后格保，民国为福岭保。1952年划入第八区（驻珠洋），1955年归珠洋区福岭乡，1961年8月划归西坪。[1]
自然与产业[edit]
村域多山地，地形起伏，山林资源丰富。据百度百科，村内是西坪镇最大的毛竹生产基地。[2] 村民以茶叶生产、加工与销售为业，茶树以铁观音、本山为主。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，本村名列「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
