奇观村是魁斗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地西约2.4公里处，蓬莱山东坡、清溪右岸，海拔100米。村委会设在乌长仑，辖19个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
此地山势陡峭，坡多坑洼，道路难行，村落分散，原称崎县，又称崎贯，后谐音改作奇观。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明初设村，明清时期属崇善里崎县乡，民国时属蓬莱示范乡奇观保。1952年设奇观乡，1958年为城关公社奇观大队。[1]
1961年，奇观大队归城关区魁斗公社；1965年撤区后仍属魁斗公社。1984年，此地在魁斗乡下设为奇观村；1992年乡改为镇，它成为魁斗镇的奇观村。[1]
革命历史[edit]
土地革命时期，本村的山尾角落曾为中共安溪中心县委的革命据点。[4][2]
地理环境[edit]
村中有高岭土矿。原有畲顶一处村落，早已废弃，今仍有少量耕地。[3]
人口民族[edit]
村民以陈姓为主，清代有乡民迁往东南亚。[1]
人物[edit]
教育管理学家陈觉万为奇观村人，曾任第七届全国人民代表大会代表、泉州华侨大学校长。[1]
