地名由来[edit]
村中有小溪穿过，三座石桥将村子相连，古称三层溪。溪中一小沙洲，岛上古木繁多，名为鲤城岛。因「美」与「尾」方言音近，村名由美溪演变为尾溪。[2][1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在明清时为崇善里三房溪，民国时属溪山保尾乡。1952年归二区溪山乡，1958年并入城关公社溪山大队。[2]
1961年单设尾溪大队，1965年改属魁斗公社。1984年改设魁斗乡尾溪村，1992年改为魁斗镇尾溪村。[2]
人口民族[edit]
村民以易、李、张三姓为多。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
尾溪深埯仔窑属明代早期安溪青花瓷的典型遗存。[3]
