历史沿革[edit]
明清时称美厝乡，后因石斗乡匪患，乡民迁居他处，建置消失，此地成为美厝乡的村落。[2]
民国时期此地称美富，分属潘桃乡下的两个保；新中国成立后改称尾厝，先后隶属潘桃乡、桃舟乡，1955年隶属感德区桃舟乡。[2]
1959年，几处村落合并组建尾厝大队；1965年起隶属感德公社直辖；1984年7月改为村的建制。[2]
尾厝村获得两项荣誉：安溪县2020至2021年度文明村镇（2022年1月），以及「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」（2022年10月）。[1]
