历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明洪武初年（约1371至1381年），林氏先祖林尚孙自长泰林墩迁入，当时此地是一片林木，称胪传，寓意子孙繁衍，后谐音写作炉田。[1]
关于地名，博雅地名网另记王氏、颜氏先后迁入外洋与大克，三处合称芦田。1960年建茶场后，因草木茂密改称芦田，别名芦传。[1]
明清时期，村域属安溪县崇信里积德乡。1958年隶属西坪公社芦田大队；1965年12月，该大队交由芦田茶场管辖。1984年8月，茶场划定的辖区内设立分政府，本村大队转为村委会；1991年，分政府又改为镇政府。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积约10平方千米，山地7800亩，耕地1430亩，其中茶园690亩，柑桔300亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村内人口2341人，党员60人，统计年份未注。[1]
经济[edit]
茶叶种植依托国营芦田茶场，产品以乌龙茶为主。[2]
文化[edit]
2022年1月，芦田村获认定为安溪县文明村镇（2020至2021年度）。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
县级文物保护单位芦田茶场属于近现代史迹。文物名录里另有“芦田茶场（大坪埔分场）”一项，两项的所在地均写作本村。[3]
著名人物[edit]
林辂存（1879至1919年），字景商，号鹜生，原籍安溪县崇信里胪传乡，即今芦田村，光绪五年（1879）生于厦门。[4]
他参与维新变法，辛亥革命后被选为福建省谘议局议员，并任第一届国会议员，还资助过孙中山的革命活动。民国8年（1919）去世。[5]
