双都村属虎邱镇，位于镇区西南约26公里，海拔约580米，是山区的革命老区村。村名由双坑与磜都两个旧地名各取一字组成。[1][2][3]

村内以茶叶生产为主，主要种植雪梨、黄金桂与铁观音，八成以上村民从事茶叶生产。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

双都一名，取自旧时的双坑与磜都两处，各取一字合成。村中最早的地名称为新康里罗岩枋磜都乡。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属积德乡新康里，民国初年为罗岩保，之后改为磜都保。1952年归第八区罗岩乡，1953年另设双都乡，1956年并入罗岩高级社。[1][2]

1958年归西坪公社罗岩大队，1960年自其中分出，设为双都大队；1965年改隶虎邱公社，仍称双都大队；1984年改称虎邱乡双都村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域有九垵林农耕点，并有跌马漈瀑布等自然景观。村子位于羊角尖山、九磜头与白庆山的南麓一带。[1][3]

人口与民族[edit]

居民以李、林、陈、周、高等姓为多。博雅地名网记全村总人口1650人，未注明统计年份。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村里被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[2]
