地名由来[edit]
一说，罗岩因地势险峻、山路难行而得名。另有传说，宋朝时杨文广平定闽地，曾在此地安营扎寨，故有此名。[2][4]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，此地属积德乡新康里。民国三十五年（1946年），此地归宝山乡的罗岩保。1952年并入第八区的罗岩乡，1958年成为西坪公社的罗岩大队。1965年，罗岩大队改属虎邱公社；1984年，改称虎邱镇罗岩村委会。[2][3]
地理环境[edit]
村域有罗岩溪贯穿，溪上的百丈漈瀑布，所在处海拔约258米，瀑下龙潭深约16米。据称该瀑布因水电开发已湮没。[1][2]
经济[edit]
黄金桂，旧称黄旦，据当地所传，清咸丰十年（1860年）前后，罗岩灶坑村的林梓琴夫妇培育出此茶；灶坑一地今属美庄村。村中有茶叶专业合作社，采用示范茶园、协议茶农与联盟茶商相结合的做法带动产业。[4][1]
名胜古迹[edit]
罗岩溪的百丈漈瀑布是本村的自然景观。古时官府曾在此地设置磨枪隘，扼守山间通道。[1][2]
著名人物[edit]
罗岩乡人林朝阳（1810—1862年）早年在汕头开设茶行，后弃商从政，历任潮州府同知、粮捕和海关税务官，清廷钦赐「绩著韩江」匾。[1]
罗岩乡人詹廷英，生于清光绪五年（1879年），早年赴日本神户开办纺织厂，后在厦门经营针行，曾向中国红十字会捐巨款，获赠「爱国爱群」等匾额。[1]
荣誉[edit]
近年村里获得的荣誉有：2020年12月，入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单（黄金桂）；2021年12月，被确定为「泉州市2019-2021年度市级“一村一品”专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为黄金桂茶叶；2022年1月，被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[2]
