文美村是福建省泉州市安溪县虎邱镇下辖的行政村，在镇区北偏西约6公里处，海拔约495米。村名各取文斗与苍美两个自然村的一字而成。[1]

地名由来[edit]

明初，谢姓人家住在文斗山的山脚，陈姓人家住在苍美的山脚，两处同属一个流域，共用一个水口。1961年组建大队时，各取文斗、苍美一字，定名文美大队。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属金田乡的兴一里。1946年（民国三十五年），划入尚卿乡的洋山保。新中国成立后，1952年归第十区的洋山乡，1958年编入西坪公社，称文美大队。1965年脱离西坪，改隶虎邱公社，名称未变；1984年改称虎邱镇文美村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村的面积约3.2平方公里，分为3个自然角落，设16个村民小组。村内的自然村有文斗山、苍美和水莲美。[1]
