地名由来[edit]
村名旧作后井，与剑斗镇的后井村同名，加之村内以王姓居多，便取王氏祖宇「福安」二字中的「福」字，代替「后」字，于1981年9月改称福井。[1][2]
另有一说，村子四面青山环绕，从高处俯视，村落形如一口井，故有此名。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村落分散，溪流与沟坑较多，主要有林尾溪、后产溪、雷岭溪、陈利溪、酒瓷溪等，以及云尾坑沟、虎深尾坑沟等。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1984年7月，本地由生产大队改设为村民委员会。[2]
人口与民族[edit]
村民主要为王姓与林姓。村委会设在大厅寨，下辖19个自然村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，村里被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[2]
