湖坵村是虎邱镇管辖的一个行政村，地处安溪县南部。村名的来历与古时的湖泊有关，本地旧称姚区，因四面环山、形似湖泊而得名湖丘，后雅化为湖邱。[1][2][5]

村民以林姓为主，明洪武年间林氏先祖在此建家庙，村内的林氏祠堂为县级文物保护单位。[2][3][4]

地名由来[edit]

民间传说，古时这一带是一片湖泊。山洪暴发时，牛神在兴仁湾打开缺口泄洪，湖水退去，村名便由此而来。村名先写作湖丘，后雅化为湖邱。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，村域属积德乡新康里；明清时期属中六里的新康里；民国时期隶属新康里的湖坵保。[1][2]

中华人民共和国成立后，村域先后归西坪人民公社、西坪区和虎邱人民公社管辖。1952年设湖坵乡，1958年为西坪公社湖坵大队。1961年另立湖坵大队，1965年改隶虎邱人民公社；1984年起改称湖坵村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域有前溪、后溪两条小溪，圭峰山的初坑小溪流入前溪，当地有「九鲤入湖」之说。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

林氏祠堂位于村内，建于明代，是县级文物保护单位。[4][3]

著名人物[edit]

台湾台北市大同公司董事长林挺生，据县政府网站所载，曾任国民党中常委。本村是侨乡和台胞祖籍地之一。[1]

荣誉[edit]

近年村里获得的荣誉有：2019年12月，列入「第二批国家森林乡村」名单；2020年11月，入选「2020年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2022年1月，被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年11月，被认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（铁观音）。[2]
