山头村是安溪县龙门镇的行政村，位于镇政府驻地北约1.5公里，在龙门溪下游右岸的山丘地。村民以陈、周、石姓为主，是侨乡。村名的来历：约在953年（后周广顺三年），陈姓先祖逸溪外出打猎，走到鹧鸪峰下的山头林，见山势清秀，便在此建笋山堂，地以“笋山”得名。后来村地大量植树造林，改称“山头”。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属龙榜镇的一个保。中华人民共和国成立后，并入竂山乡的竂山大队；1981年又分出，成立山头大队，后统一改为山头村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村庄被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」；2021年4月，村庄获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」。[1]
