炙坑村属安溪县龙门镇，位于镇政府驻地南约3.9公里，靠近尪公格北侧山脚，村址海拔270米。村内辖5个自然村，村民以沈姓为主。村名的由来与南面一道形如活凤的山脉有关。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属依仁里，民国时期是龙榜镇湖山保的一部分。1961年分出建立炙坑大队，1984年改设村委会。[1]
