渊兜村位于金谷镇，村前溪中多石，溪水冲击处水深如渊，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明洪武四年（1371年），沈姓由龙门桂湖迁来渊兜；明朝公元1621至1627年间，钱姓迁入并繁衍。明清时期村域属内苏里渊兜保。此后的变化是：1957年改为五社高级社下的渊兜生产大队，1961年为元口公社的渊兜大队，1965年成为金谷公社的渊兜大队；1985年以后设金谷镇渊兜村委会。[1]
著名人物[edit]
旅居印尼的侨亲沈清江出生于渊兜村，1957年应中侨委之邀担任回国观光团团长，并进京观礼国庆。[2]
