历史沿革[edit]
村子原属龙兴，之后属兴二里。清末（1911年）隶属湖头六社乡，民国时期归蓬莱三元保。1949年改入蓬莱区三元乡，此后相继归三元人民公社。1964年金谷公社设洋内大队；1979年改为金谷乡洋内村；1991年转为金谷镇洋内村，设金谷镇洋内村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
契真院在大尖山南麓。其舍利塔为六角形三层，檐下出挑，以糯米灰混凝土建成，院始建于唐朝天祐四年（907年）。现存的建筑是2002年由侨胞叶长鹏出资重建的，塔内纳有历代僧人的骨灰罐。[2]
村中的东山龟形墓是明代叶公荫（1519至1596年）昆仲的墓，墓呈交椅形，以糯米灰三合土构筑，墓前立有四副旗杆夹石。[3]
望云山及本村琼林寨的新石器时代遗址为县级文物保护单位，采集到石斧、石锛等遗物。[3]
