金谷村是金谷镇的镇中心区村庄，境内漳泉铁路的火车站设在村内；村名与镇名的由来相同。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，村域属修仁乡崇善里，明代仍属崇善里；1945年10月划入溪东乡。新中国成立后先后归清溪区、第三区和蓬莱区管辖，1958年归蓬莱公社。1965年设金谷公社，此时称金谷大队；1984年改为乡建制，称金谷村；1991年11月改为镇建制，设金谷镇金谷村委会。[1]

古时叫佛口街的一处街市在村中，是古代泉州至湖头水路上的主要停靠点，溪墘旧有泊船码头。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

崎沟土楼又称新安楼，在村中盆地，是清代建造的方形土楼，墙基以巨石干砌，四周开有枪眼和瞭望口，对外只留三个门。[2]

著名人物[edit]

吴秀水1937年7月生于金谷村，1963年自清华大学研究生毕业后任职于交通部科学研究院，之后在中国建筑科学研究院工作，主要从事高层建筑和桥梁结构的力学分析。[4]
