金谷镇位于福建省泉州市安溪县东北部，在晋江西溪中游，距县城约17公里。镇名取自境内一座形如“金”字的山和山前的一片谷地。[1][4]

海外侨胞众多，台湾同胞不少祖籍于此，属闽南的侨乡之一。东溪一带是红色革命的旧地，镇内还有新石器时代遗址、古墓葬和古寺。[2][7]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，今镇域分属修仁乡的来苏里和崇善里。[3] 1928年，猎户陈体出身的安溪县第一名共产党员，次年便在东溪组织起党团支部。[2] 1933年8月25日，安南永德苏维埃政府在东溪成立，四县工农兵代表与县委、红二支队的领导共五百多人参会。[5][7] 1965年置金谷公社，1984年改为乡，1991年11月改为镇。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

镇境在晋江西溪中游。据安溪县人民政府网站，1997年的面积为101.6平方千米，该网站的另一篇金谷镇概览作108平方千米。[1][2]

境内有漳泉铁路经过，火车站设在金谷村；省道205线与金溪公路纵横交错穿镇。[2]

人口[edit]

2019年末，镇户籍人口为56027人。[3] 据安溪县人民政府网站，1997年全镇人口为4.8万人；该网站的金谷镇概览另载全镇约5.8万人，没有注明年份。[2][1]

经济[edit]

茶叶是镇内的重要产业，金山与华芸一带被列为全县生态茶园建设示范工程。[1]

果树以龙眼为主，特产有黄金桂。[2]

文化[edit]

旅外侨胞遍布十多个国家和地区，他们的捐建在镇里留下了学校和医院。[2]

陈利职业中专学校由旅外侨胞陈松基出资兴办，泉州市人民政府将其定为市级重点职校。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

望云山及洋内村琼林寨的新石器时代遗址为县级文物保护单位，采集到石斧、石锛等遗物。[2]

河美村的太王陵，俗称圣王公墓，为县级文物保护单位。安溪县人民政府网站称其建于五代，博雅地名网记其年代为宋。[2][5]

河美村的威镇庙供奉广泽尊王，始建于五代末，现存建筑为清光绪十五年（1889年）重修。[6] 庙内的金谷威镇庙碑，2013年经福建省人民政府公布，为「第八批省级文物保护单位」。[5]

溪榜村东溪的安南永德苏维埃政府旧址，原为陈氏祠堂，2020年底由福建省公布为第十批省级文物保护单位。[5][7]

安溪县人民政府网站还列有定明院、大石竹庙、檀林岩、圣峰岩、官道岩等古迹，未注明位置。[2]
