南英村隶属城厢镇，位于县城以东约8公里处，村名取自南山头、英外两处自然村名各一字。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前此地归下长泰乡管辖。20世纪60、70年代重新划定区域，改称南英大队，80年代初改为南英村委会。[1][3]
清代此处属长泰里，民国三十五年（1946年）改属泰安乡，1958年设城厢人民公社。[2]
