路英村位于城厢镇东南，村落在笔架山下，由村民开荒耕种、逐渐聚居而形成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

中华人民共和国成立后，村民因开荒耕种，逐渐聚居繁衍。村内的居民点共六处，分别是路边、英格内、蔗刀、大崎、笔架和纣田。路边与英格内人口较多，村名便取这二者的首字。[1][2]

明清时期属永安里，民国时期（1946年）归泰安乡一保；1952年划入第一区一乡，1958年归城关公社的一个大队；1965年改属城厢公社，并自原大队析出，单设路英大队。1984年设路英村委会。[1][3]
