勤内村位于城厢镇西南的山坡地带，三面环山，村民历来以务农为生。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名有两种说法。据博雅地名网，村址古称“勤美”，因三面环山、土地宽阔，先人靠种地生活而勤劳致富得名，后改称“勤内”；据百度百科，村名由清代的“芹内”与“潮坑”合并而来。[1][2]

明朝末期，郑、卢两姓族人自永春迁居此地，此后又有陈姓族人迁入。中华人民共和国成立后一度同属一个大队，1961年分出，单设勤内大队；1984年改设城厢镇勤内村委会。[1][3]

经济[edit]

2020年、2021年和2022年，勤内村三次入选淘宝村名单。[1]
