城厢镇在安溪县城郊，近年县城的城中村改造与商住开发多集中在镇域之内，镇内的村落与古迹也因此与城区交织在一起。同美陈氏祖厝、阆苑岩、谢氏宗祠等古建筑，是了解这一带村落历史的实物。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名取“紧邻县城”之意。据考古发现，这一带在三千多年前已有人类居住。[3]

宋、元、明、清时期，这里划归长泰、永安、光德三里；民国时改属县城区、第一区、城苑镇与泰安乡。解放后先后归龙城区、第一区、第二区与城关区管辖，并设城关、城厢两个公社。[4]

1984年4月设城厢乡，1991年改为城厢镇。2003年4月，镇内成立茶都居委会；次年6月改称茶都社区居委会。截至2021年底，全镇辖有25个行政村和7个社区居委会。[4]

地理环境[edit]

城厢镇位于北纬25°03′、东经118°10′附近，属亚热带气候，气候温和，雨量充沛。[5]

人口民族[edit]

据2019年县政府网站所载，全镇人口15万多，外来人口约7万。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

同美村的同美陈氏旧衙与新衙两处祖厝，皆为清代古建筑，列为县级文物保护单位。[7][8]

阆苑岩位于同美村阆苑山顶，始建于唐代，现存殿宇为清代风格，1991年列为县级文物保护单位；1999年，一批居住在新加坡的同美陈氏亲人出资，依原址重建殿宇。[9][10]

南坪村的午峰岩国珪祠为宋代古建筑，砖文村的谢氏宗祠（明代）与福美宫（清代），经兜村的孙胤骥墓（清代），光德村的梁国宝墓（清代），员宅村的廖长官墓（五代），以及仙苑村的城厢仙苑古渡口，都列入县级文物保护单位名录。[8][13]

砖文村后刈自然村的灵庆堂始建于南宋，供奉清水祖师。清乾隆四十五年（1780年）重建，1981年于原址重建，2004年当地群众集资，将佛堂抬高后在原址重建。[11]

笔架山下曾有一处古村寨，石墙由山石垒成。据当地谢氏家谱，清乾隆年间有先祖到此放牧定居，民国时匪患猖獗，村民便迁回砖文门楼一带。[12]

经岭村仙洞寨的红二支队活动旧址，博雅地名网列为县级文物保护单位，建筑年代注为清代，类别属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑。[7]

文化[edit]

2010至2011年度，城厢镇获授国家级生态乡镇称号，由环境保护部于2012年12月公布。2021年12月，城厢镇被命名为福建省森林城镇。[6]

经济[edit]

2020年、2021年和2022年，城厢镇先后三次入选阿里研究院公布的淘宝镇名单。[6]
