美坂村位于湖头镇中心区。清代以来称「上湖上坂」，新中国成立后改属美傍乡、美山乡。1961年分设美坂大队，队址设在上坂庵内，村名由此而来。[1]

1986年，美坂属湖头乡美坂大队；1990年起，以湖头镇美坂村委会的名义运作。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年10月，村列入2021年淘宝村名单；2022年10月，村再次列入2022年淘宝村名单。[1]
