美溪村位于湖头镇东北侧，兰溪东岸一片平坦的地方。村子原名「溪坂」，后因地形而改称「美溪」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期此地隶湖苑保。1961年经改制，划为美溪大队；至20世纪80年代，更名湖头镇美溪村，村委会随之设立。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
成云洞又称李文贞读书处，为清代古遗址，是县级文物保护单位。[1]
