汤头村位于湖头镇。村前端有一处温泉，俗称「汤」，村民聚居于此，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属修仁乡感化里。1984年，汤头成为湖头乡汤头村；1987年改称湖头镇汤头村，并设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。2024年10月，村被确定为泉州市2024年度市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为湖头米粉。[1]
