前山村位于湖头寨山前，村子南部的大尖山上建有泰山岩。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属感化里。民国时期隶属清溪镇。1981年，村从原大队中分出，另设前山大队；1984年才改称前山村，归湖头乡管辖。1987年乡改镇，此地遂称湖头镇前山村，村委会随之设立。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

泰山岩全称「显应普济大祖师岩泰山寺」，位于村南大尖山，是湖头十景之一。[2]

湖头兴福庙位于草埔头，建于清代，为县级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
