湖四村位于湖头镇中心区，原为湖四生产大队驻地，村名由此而来。村中上西埔有明代的李森墓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋朝时此地归修仁乡感化里，明清仍属感化里。民国时期先后隶感化区、第二区、第一区和清溪镇，称选贤保。新中国成立后，此地又先后归清溪区、第四区、湖头区，名称上岭生产大队。1958年10月湖头人民公社设立，其下有湖四生产大队。1984年7月政社分开后，此大队改称湖四村；乡改镇后，村名定为湖头镇湖四村，设村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

李森墓位于上西埔，为明代墓葬，是县级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
