湖三村位于湖头镇中心区，原为民兵三营驻地的自然村落，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，此地隶属湖头区选贤乡。1958年归湖头公社，称湖三大队；1984年改设湖三村，并设村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
湖头李氏宅祠建筑跨湖二村与本村，其中部分建筑位于本村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2015年10月，村入选福建省第一批省级传统村落。2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
