蓬新村位于蓬莱镇平原中部，在清水岩南面山脚下约2千米处，村域面积约0.5平方千米。[2]
地名与沿革[edit]
村中以林姓为主，取林木逢春发芽的意思定名为蓬新。[3]
1979年下半年析出，成为蓬新大队；1984年起称蓬新村。[4]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，村庄被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
