美滨村位于蓬莱镇东南部，靠近镇区，村落处在蓬莱溪与清溪的交汇处。[1][3]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的取义与临水而居有关。[7]

村落旧称溪尾，后改雅名魁美；民国时分设魁美保与美滨保，新中国成立后定名美滨村。[3]

1958年归蓬莱公社魁美大队，1961年析出设美滨大队，1984年改为蓬莱镇美滨村。[2]

古迹与遗址[edit]

魁美古渡口是安溪古渡口的蓬莱部分，为县级文物保护单位，属美滨村。[5][6]

村境内的上塘山一带分布有新石器时代及周时代遗址，遗物有石斧、红砂陶和印纹硬陶等。[4]

温泉[edit]

美滨村临溪一带有温泉，县政府网站称其具有开发前景。[4]
