开基与地名[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，元至顺年间（1330年），柯氏后裔万山公由泉州迁至蓬莱魁头，成为此地的开基一世祖。[2]
魁头地处蓬莱盆地东南隅，背靠蓬山，村西北有一片古树林，俗称魁头林。[2]
沿革[edit]
明清时期属修仁乡崇善里；1946年属蓬莱乡蓬中保，1952年归第三区蓬中乡。1958年11月隶属蓬莱人民公社蓬溪大队；1978年分设大队；1984年8月改为蓬莱镇蓬溪村。[1][2]
教育[edit]
村中原有进来小学（今安溪县第十五小）和进来中学（今安溪八中）。[2]
