中芹村位于蓬莱镇东部偏南的山坡地，离镇政府约13千米，依芹山山势而建，与清水岩隔山相望。[2]
地名与沿革[edit]
村名各取「中保」的「中」字和「芹山」的「芹」字而成。[1]
明清时属修仁乡崇善里；民国时属城苑镇彭格保。新中国成立后并入彭格一带，1976年自彭格大队析出，组建中芹村；1978年下半年改设中芹大队，1984年定名中芹村。[1]

村内高岭土质优、色白、储量较大，有开采价值。[3]
芹山一带有芹山八景等自然风光。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，村庄被认定为「安溪县2020—2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
