岭美村位于蓬莱镇政府驻地西南约3千米，海拔146米，村域面积1.6平方千米，下辖8个自然村。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
村址在山岭的尾部，村名取谐音而来。[2]
明清时期属修仁乡崇善里，民国时隶属蓬莱乡管辖。新中国成立后归清溪区，1958年划入蓬莱公社；1961年自原大队析出，设岭美大队，1984年改为村制。[3]
民俗[edit]
岭美村的水车阁是一种民间演出形式：阁台外形如水车，演员扮作戏中人物站在阁栅上边转边演，旁边有南音乐队伴奏。[4]
侨乡[edit]
旅外侨亲曾捐建岭美小学。[5]
