上智村位于蓬莱镇西南部，距镇区约8千米，村域面积1.1平方千米，辖3个自然村。[1]
地名与历史[edit]
村落旧称上地，后因早年村中出过举人，取「智慧较高」之意改名上智。[2][3]
明代，胡氏始祖迁入此地，此后村中以胡姓为主。[2]
明清时属金田乡兴一里，民国时归尚卿乡上智保；1952年改设第十区上智乡，1958年归蓬莱公社上智大队。1979年析出两个大队，1984年改称上智村。[4]
建筑与遗存[edit]
村中现存清末修建的白头格古民居群，据百度百科载有9栋，建筑材料多由海外运来，西洋与闽南风格兼具。[2]
村内保存有7处侨捐祖厝，以及始建于明代的上智小学，并有上智炮楼，据称为闽南工农游击队的革命活动旧址。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2015年10月，村庄入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」名单；2024年10月，被确定为「泉州市2023年度市级“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为手工面线。[1]
