蓬莱镇是福建省泉州市安溪县下辖的镇，位于县域东部，距县城约16千米，东邻魁斗镇。[1] 全镇辖1个社区居委会和30个行政村，镇政府驻联盟村。[1] 镇名源自旧称「彭内」，因读音与「蓬莱」相近而改作雅称，镇内清水岩所在的山也因此称蓬莱山。[1]
镇内的清水岩寺，县政府网站把它的创建定在北宋元丰六年（1083年），寺中奉祀清水祖师，这一信俗已传到台湾和东南亚。[4]
地名由来[edit]
民间传说宋元时期镇内坪地建有一座土楼，名为彭城楼。「彭」与「坪」读音相近，坪内又称彭内，山间的隘口便叫彭格。彭格背靠旧称张岩山的高山，北宋时在山上建清水岩寺，此山后改称蓬莱山。[1][2]
闽南话的「彭内」与「蓬莱」读音接近，文人于是把「彭内」雅称为「蓬莱」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
北宋至南宋间，这片地方归在修仁乡崇善里与金田乡龙兴里两处，明朝时龙兴里一分为二，称兴一里和兴二里。[1][6] 民国时期各村隶属多次变动；民国29年（1940年）设蓬莱乡，民国34年（1945年）境内划出11个保。[1][6]
新中国成立后，此地先后归清溪区、第三区与蓬莱区管辖。1958年10月组建蓬莱人民公社；1961年8月又设蓬莱区，其中含11个小公社；到1965年4月，区被撤销并改为公社；1984年8月起称镇。[1][6]
截至2002年底，镇里有1个居委会、30个村，19200户，共75433人。[5] 2023年镇入选福建省「全域生态旅游小镇」名单，2011年又获环境保护部授予国家级生态乡镇的称号。[9]
地理环境[edit]
镇域多为低山丘陵，主峰有蓬莱山、三笏山和大寨山。[1] 清溪干流从镇域东部流过。龙潭溪发源于长坑西部，流经镇域北部和西部的九个村后，在源口汇入清溪；蓬莱溪自官桥镇内村流来，经福山、蓬新、植洋和镇区平原后，于美滨村汇入清溪。[1]
矿产有高岭土、花岗岩和温泉。中芹村的高岭土色白质优、储量较大；温泉分布在温泉村和美滨村临溪一带，开发前景被看好。[1]
20世纪五六十年代先后开挖了三英渠和百里渠，两条渠道至今灌溉沿线农田。[1]
人口与侨乡[edit]
据百度百科，2019年末镇内户籍人口为80751人。[2]
镇人自清初起便前往东南亚谋生。1997年的一次调查显示，旅居海外的蓬莱籍乡亲有10多万人，分布在新加坡、印度尼西亚、马来西亚、缅甸等十多个国家和地区，人数超过在乡人数。县政府网站称蓬莱为「安溪侨乡第一镇」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
清水岩位于蓬莱山，在县城西北约24千米处，是福建省重点文物保护单位，也是国家4A级旅游景区。[4][1] 寺宇依山而建，整体外观呈「帝」字形；寺中有宋代岩图碑，殿前一株古樟的枝叶都向北伸展。[4]
九峰岩在三笏山麓，县政府网站称其始建于明代，县文物名录则将其列为清代古建筑，为县级文物保护单位，位于上西村。[1][3][7]
韩德楼在温泉村汤边角落的龙潭溪畔，清乾隆年间由进士唐桂生返乡时主持建造。楼为三层石土木结构，墙基厚约3米，内有94个房间，1998年经县文管会立牌标明文物保护。[1][8]
大寨山在龙居村境内，元至正十四年（1354年）李大曾在山顶筑寨，据险称帝，以此为据点进行多年的反元斗争。遗址尚存墙基，为县级文物保护单位。[1][3]
龙居村的蓬莱龙显堂为明代建筑，县级文物保护单位。[3][7]
登山村有登山关帝庙和登虎榜傅氏祠堂，均为民国时期建筑，属县级文物保护单位；关帝庙曾是官桥区革命委员会的所在地。[3][7]
温泉村的青云楼为民国时期建筑，属县级文物保护单位。[3][7]
美滨村的魁美古渡口是安溪古渡口的蓬莱部分，为县级文物保护单位。[3][7]
民俗[edit]
镇内每年春季举行清水祖师迎春巡境。活动依旧例分为三个庵堂、九个社保和二十七股，每股九年轮值一次；三月初一拈取「大旗」，定出各项仪式的分工。[1]
清水祖师的分庙遍布台湾、东南亚等地。[4]
著名人物[edit]
李光地为清初文渊阁大学士兼吏部尚书，被誉为理学名臣，去世后葬在镇境内，墓葬为县级文物保护单位。[1][3] 墓前原有翁仲、石兽和华表，在百里渠施工期间墓石多被毁去、移作石料，上世纪八十年代由后裔捐资重修。[1]
据不完全统计，科举时代蓬莱籍获「荐辟」以上科第的有27人。[1]
