后海村位于百崎回族乡东部，北临百崎湖，东与东园镇、张坂镇相接。村落原为海域，因位于百崎的后方而得名，又称「内后海」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

永乐十五年（1417年）以前，这里还是一片大海。郑和第五次下西洋时，曾帮助修筑海堤、围海造田，此后逐步形成村落，并沿用地理形势之名「后海」。[1][2]

清代此地属惠安二十二都，民国时期属后港乡。1956年时归东园区管辖，1958年起分属上游公社与东园公社，设为后海大队；1985年改为东园镇下属的后海村委会，1990年百崎回族乡设立后，村委会归其管辖。[2][1]

2024年1月，本村被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[2]

经济[edit]

村内围垦出的滩涂辟为高优水产生态养殖区，发展吊养「干仔」等特色水产。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网列「百崎回族郭氏墓群」为本村的县级文物保护单位，年代为明、清。[2]
