峰南村是辋川镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东南部，东面与吹楼村相接，南面与前洋村相连，西面与螺城镇王孙村接壤。[1]
地名由来[edit]
何氏族人迁来此地，建居于麒麟山峰之南。民国推行保甲制时，依地势与方位取名峰南保，此名称一直沿用到新中国成立之后。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时此地隶属三十四都玉山铺，民国时属辋川乡峰南保。1949年冬以后，先后编入一区、十一区、十四区，成为峰南乡。1961年划出，设辋川公社峰南大队；1985年改为辋川乡峰南村委会，1989年改属镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年2月，村庄入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
