更新村是辋川镇下辖的行政村，位于福厦公路324国道两侧，处在走马埭现代农业示范片的中心。[1]村旧称候卿，又名后坑，全村分为17个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村旧称候卿，亦叫后坑，村名与陈氏先人文彦（世称陈善人）有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属二都良盘埔，民国时属辋川乡候卿保。1949年冬属第一区，后设侯卿乡。1951年拆分为十一区、十四区与驿坂区的更新乡，1958年属超先公社，后划为辋川公社更新大队。1985年改设辋川乡更新村委会，1989年改属镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

更新陈氏祖祠位于后坑自然村，东侧为方伯第与藩宪第，西侧为民宅。据博雅地名网，祠为二世祖陈彦文于明洪武十三年（1380年）创建，此后屡经修葺。[1]

侯卿方伯第位于后坑自然村，由新衙与旧衙组成，占地2000余平方米，为明代贵州布政使司左参政陈睿所建。旧衙建于明弘治十四年（1501年），一进三开间；弘治十八年（1505年）在旁扩建新衙，三进五开间。整组建筑为砖石木结构，硬山式燕尾翘脊，保留有明代的额枋、斗拱、雀替与吊筒等构件。[2]

方伯第在明代设龙盘社学，清代设良盘社学，民国时曾作眉山小学，新中国成立后又办起更新学校。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年6月，村庄入选「第四批省级传统村落」名录。[1]
