下江村是辋川镇下辖的行政村，位于镇北部边陲，与泉港区接壤，离镇区约3千米。[1]村辖下江、赖厝、铁史岸三个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

一说江氏村民自河南开封迁来，在五公山东南麓的缓坡地建居，因前方低处有江河而得名；另一说，取江氏南下之意定为下江。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

五代南唐时已有人迁居此地。北宋时属晋江东乡十六里，其后属惠安县石江铺。新中国成立后归辋川区与五峰乡管辖；1958年9月，划为超先人民公社辋川管理区下的五峰大队。1961年设辋川人民公社后改称五峰生产大队，1984年10月设下江村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

五峰宫位于赖厝自然村，靠近五峰山麓，明代始建，1999年重修。宫坐西朝东，前后两进，有山门、天井、两厢与大殿；大殿以抬梁式木构架支撑，屋顶为硬山式。前墙由花岗岩石与红砖砌成，门楣与两侧装饰着彩绘瓷砖。[2][3]
