后任村是辋川镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区东北、烟楼山下、澳头之旁。[1]

地名由来[edit]

明代《惠安政书》记载，辋川一带的渔业颇有市利，帆樯往来，当地因临海而俗称网城，居民以近海捕鱼为生。此处原称网城后任仑，后任氏迁来定居，遂取任氏“后来”之意，改称后任。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明隆庆四年（1570年）以前，此地隶属惠安县三十四都。始祖任维雅相传由福州白塔下迁来，约在1572年前后开基。1941年属辋城乡，新中国成立后属惠安县十四区与驿坂区。1984年10月改设后任村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

越王宫位于村内，建于明万历年间（1573年至1620年），坐西朝东，由山门、拜亭、两廊和大殿组成，大殿主祀「镇闽越王」。宫前有砖埕、放生池、石鼓与石船。[2][3]
