南赛西村位于小岞镇东部，南面濒临台湾海峡。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

南赛西村与东侧的南赛东村同出一源：早年此处是小岞岛东南突出部的要塞，庄、邱、洪等姓先后迁来，因方位地势称南塞，后谐音写作南赛。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地属三十一都黄坑铺，民国时属净峰乡东南保，1949年起归第三、第四区东南乡与东岭区小岞乡。1958年隶属飞跃公社东南大队，1961年分出南赛大队，隶小岞公社；1968年并入净峰公社，1976年又归小岞公社。[2]

1985年划为小岞乡南赛西村；2002年改称小岞镇南赛西村民委员会。[2]

概况[edit]

博雅地名网载村域面积约1平方千米，现有1136户，人口4459人，设11个村民小组；百度百科载面积1.22平方千米，人口4328人。两说均未注统计年份。[1][4]

村民以海洋渔业为主，并发展海水养殖；村中设有希望小学与幼儿园。[5]
