后内村位于小岞半岛北部，濒湄洲湾南岸，北面临海。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

南宋官员李文会晚年回到此地定居。这里位于前内之后，原称「后里」，当地方言把「里」说成「内」，书写时遂改为后内。[4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年起，此地先后分属飞跃、小岞、净峰三个公社的后内大队。1961年，后内大队分出新桥另置一大队；1984年又分出螺山大队。[3]

明清时此地隶属三十一都黄坑铺，民国时归净峰乡后内保。1949年冬以后，先后划入第三、第四区的后内乡与东岭区小岞乡。1985年此地成立后内村民委员会，隶属小岞乡；至2000年，乡改为镇，村委会更名为小岞镇后内村民委员会。[3]

博雅地名网记全村共928户，人口3661人，耕地445亩，设11个村民小组，未注统计年份；百度百科载人口同为3661人。村内有后内小学、卫生所、老协会活动中心，以及正顺王宫、李文会府宅与古井等文物。[2][5]

荣誉[edit]

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月作出认定，后内村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
